Edit Reports

About this screen

This is the dashboard for reports in progress — every report you've started, across all your clients. From here, you can edit coverage details, generate a slide deck from finished coverage, delete reports you no longer need, or start a new report. (New reports can also be started from the menu bar or the home page.)

When would I use this?

  • Edit coverage details for newly imported URLs
  • Generate the slide deck once your coverage is finalized
  • Regenerate the deck after adding new coverage or fixing details
  • Delete a draft you're not going to finish, or an old report you no longer need
  • Find a report to update for a client check-in

The layout

The New Report button at the top opens an import dialog where you paste coverage URLs to start a new report. The filter dropdown narrows the list to a single client; the search input filters by report title or date. Above the list, two counts show how many reports match your filters and how many have been generated into decks (“published”).

Each row in the list is one report — client logo, report title (click to open Edit Coverage), client name and date, action buttons, status, and a trash icon.

The two main actions on each row

  • Edit Coverage opens the coverage detail workspace for that report — fix article details, reorder coverage, mark highlights, or add new links.
  • Generate Report creates a slide deck from the current coverage. The finished deck appears in Saved Reports.

You can regenerate a report any time. Each regeneration replaces the prior deck with one based on your latest edits.

Draft vs Published

The status tells you whether a deck has been generated yet:

  • Draft — Coverage imported, but no deck has been generated
  • Published — A deck has been generated at least once and lives in Saved Reports

Draft doesn't mean incomplete — it just means you haven't generated the deck yet.

Important: deleting a report

Deleting a report removes everything tied to it — the imported URLs, your edits in Edit Coverage, and any generated slide deck (also gone from Saved Reports). This can't be undone. If you might want any of that later, hold off — deletion is permanent.
